The DTV Mandatory Digital TV Conversion Is FUCKED UP

i don’t guess I have to say much more about the sad state of the DTV transition.

The FCC has fucked up with this DTV transition. People don’t get it. Literally.

And guess what? If it were just the fact that “people aren’t getting their free television shows”, the FCC and government officials involved would give a rats ass.

What Will Make DTV Better

The lawsuits and claims from commercial advertisers against television stations for misrepresenting viewership and full transmission of the ads they pay for.

We try to watch the shows, almost ALWAYS miss the punch line and get a frozen pixel-boy in a bad position within a silent television. Even though most people don’t like advertising too much, the advertisers will pay attention now because, due to the poor execution of this mandatory digital TV conversion, they will automatically LOSE 10-15% of the audience that they paid for based on demographics. That is fraud. And that is the only reason anyone will do ANYTHING about correcting the television transmission status.

This DTV transition sucks worse than we could ever have imagined. It will get worse. When commercial advertisers realize that their commercials are being frozen and interrupted based on the POOR performance of the television stations, they’ll be leaving by the droves.

Television stations will be in line behind print newspapers on the way out the door - but they did it to themselves. Newspapers are a casualty of the times. “Free” television stations, depending upon advertising dollars, have shot themselves in the foot through a main artery and they are going to bleed to death.

I think my next section will touch upon the conspiracy theories which are running rampant, but make sense. Think you are forced into watching pixelized television just so emergency, medical and responders can have the lower bands? Think again. Military has been studying brainwashing hidden in pixelated messages for decades. Advertisers have too.

To bad the CRAPPY DTV service disrupts their little messages.

DTV Antennas? BAH

So - frustrated with not getting picture or sound, I go purchase a $78.00 indoor, outdoor antenna for my brand-new $498.00 DTV ready television set. Ready to watch some great DTV pixels, I hooked it all up and TA-DA. Same crap. Hours of jumping up and down, switching positions, mounting it high, holding it low…. I get about 5 words a minute and a picture change every 15 seconds.

DTV is somehow a product of the GOVERNMENT - or else they wouldn’t have subsidized this STUPID MOVE. Did you get a CREDIT CARD for free from the government to buy a car with seat belts because seat belts were required by law? Did you get a free government credit card when 8-Track Tapes were being phased out by cassette tapes? What about BETA to VHS? Something is up with this transition and is more than meets the average eye. That is obvious.

Get cable? Sure thing - right after I win the lottery and run 47 miles of cable to my own house from the nearest provider. Then I’ll be broke - but I’ll have free tv.
